My Poor Sick Baby

We have had a few rough days this past week. Breanna was diagnosed with a UTI at the doctor on Friday morning. It was a severe UTI so they gave her a shot of antibiotics at the doctor's office and told us we would have to come back for the next two days to get a shot of antibiotics. They also said that she should start feeling better by the evening. But as the evening went on, it seemed she was getting worse and by 12pm her fever had spiked all the way to almost 106. I called the doctor on call and they suggested we take her to the ER immediately. So we were on our way. We were seen immediately and they ran some tests. They drew blood, gave her some IV fluids, and it turned out her UTI had turned into a kidney infection. My poor little girl was such a trooper. She was such a brave girl with all the needles being poked into her. By the second injection of antibiotics, she started feeling so much better. It was so rough seeing my little girl so sick. It's crazy how we take for granted our healthy happy children. Thank you Lord for my healthy little girl.

Aw....sorry to hear that she was sick. It's hard seeing your child go through all that pain. You wish you could just do it for them!!

That picture with the popsicle is so pitiful! I know how hard it is to watch them get poked and prodded! I hope she gets better soon.

It's a Urinary Tract Infection! Don't know how she got it but it came on really fast. The dr said it is really unusual for a child her age to get a kidney infection so they want us to have her kidney's ultrasound to make sure nothing else is going on.....it was pretty scary. When I took her temperature that night and it read 106.7, I freaked out. But we are over the worse now and she is doing so much better.
